Its been too long since our 30th reunion. I still live in Scottsdale and am semi-retired now. Hope all is well for you. Do you see any of our old school mates?
Hi Nancy,
That was a shot out of the past. Judi and I met on Sept. 9 1959 and would have been married 46 years this November. She went into the hospital on the 6th of July with an infection, and got a worse infection(fungal) and went to the Lord on 9 August. I am currently traveling between our two homes(Anchorage, AK and Canyon Lake, CA, plus trips to Phoenix to see Judi's sister Lois and Dale(Golf). good to hear from you, sorry about the news.
Hey Nancy, I drive by Juanita's about five times a day. And Sea Bluff is just right down 101 to the north of me. I can't imagine living now where I couldn't see the ocean at least twice a day. And I will tell those waves you said hello. We'll have to get together when you come over to see your son, it would be fun to catch up. Don't work too hard, and remember: retirement isn't easy...but it is a lot of fun.
Hi Nancy, Well I finally made it back from Baja; the normal two day trip turned into a four day because of some devastation/flooding from a tropical storm just after a major hurricane. We had to wait a day and a half for a river to go down so we could drive across. But you know what they say, "A surf trip isn't an adventure unless something goes wrong," or nature shows you who's boss.
Isn't it a small world? I live right below Beacon's near the corner of PCH(101)/Leucadia Blvd. I retired in 1998 and moved over here permanently in 1999, now I just read, work on my place, walk my dogs to the beach, and go to the beach myself. I love this small town atmosphere.
I was thrilled to see that you too were a high school English teacher. Where did you teach? I actually coached a couple of years at Arcadia (asst basketball) and then moved to the new hs, Chaparral, and became the head basketball coach there until I retired.
Would love to hear more from and about you, and anything about our mutual friends from those "Glory Years."
Take Care and keep enjoying that retirement. And thanks for adding me as a "friend."

Hey Nancy, it is a small world. So good to hear from you and see you on the page. Right now I'm typing this from a tiny fishing village 700 miles south of SD on the Pacific side of the Baja peninsula on our annual Baja surf trip. I'll write more later, the internet is pretty sketchy down here. Nice to hear from you and tell everyone I said HI.
Hi Nancy,
It is sooooo great to see you join our small but growing group of Arcadians from the Glory Years!. You look terrific! Feel free to jump in anywhere and share photos, stories, news--anything you like. If you need any help with the site, let me know. Welcome to our site!
