I turned 77 on March 3rd rowing a 20-day Grand Canyon trip. I still read a great amount of history, jog (kind of), hike the Superstitions and have recently written an autobiography. I'm in Idaho now to row a high water trip on the Salmon River, the famed River of No Return as named by Lewis and Clark. I have a great nostalgia for the Golden Years and I am in touch with quite a few former satudents.

I'd just like to thank you for having those pick-up games in the Arcadia gym. They were a huge part of making the player/coach I became. I actually played college basketball in a small but very well known program at Cal Western in San Diego, then I was a high school coach for my teaching career (we once even played for the state championship, losing to Carl Hayden).
So thanks for being there while I was just learning basketball, I won't forget that.
Glad to see you're out there running those rivers.
Hi Bob, It is great to see you joining our Arcadia network of friends! You are such an inspiration as you continue your exciting adventures on the rivers, author books, hike, and keep up with technology! I hope you'll continue to share your memories and experiences with all of us on this Ning community. As the word spreads I'm sure we'll have lots more people joining us. Our "collective memories" will help all of us to remember things we have forgotten. Welcome to Ning! :-)

McCain means more of the same. I'm an Obama man. It's the same as when I taught the concept of cultural lag at Arcadia. We are now in a post America stage of history and Bush's policies are archaic, dangerous and belong to an earlier era.
I predict we will enter a phase of gradually growing spiritual capitalism in which business owners will start to care what their products do to human life,
the health of the environment, sustainable goals and their grandchildren. Ours will be paying for the unnecessary war in Iraq.
