Favorite Memory from Arcadia
Being in two of "Uncle Bob" Finkbine's classes at the same time history was being made. Being active in theater arts (Outstanding Drama Student award and lettered in drama). Being invited to see a movie a student had made (turned down the opportunity), and that student turned out to be Stephen Spielberg. The kindness and support from a fellow student and her mother when my mother was diagnosed with cancer. Against all odds she made it, and lived to be 88.

Your life sounds full and ideal. I'm still reading history, writing and working on environmental causes but, at 85, I am no longer rowing the Grand Canyon, climbing mountains or playing football without equipment. Being part of the Glory Years as teacher, coach and "Uncle" was one of the best experiences in my life. You all were the greatest.

The best to you,    Bob Finkbine
