Hey Bob,
Check the posts. If you are still in Arizona, there is a November 5th party hosted by the classes of 64 and 65. 2016 ! www.arcadia6465.com Jim
Good to hear from you Bob. Haven't seen you since Quentin Gregory and I gave you a ride to your motel on Camelback after the Hendrick's Homecoming and ensuing cocktail hours at the Monastery. Good times!
Never forget when a bunch of us Titans ran into you in San Diego. We were in our early 40's and you looked much younger than we did! You tipped us off to the "Over the Line Tournament" on Fiesta Island and I haven't been the same since! Best regards, Jack
What a nice surprise to hear from you and learn what's keeping you busy. I'm not sure anyone's life is ideal--and mine is no exception. But full, yes. I lost my husband and friend of nearly 50 years to pancreatic cancer in February. I'm building a new home, and keeping busy with design-related tasks and lots of packing. Before we knew he was ill, we took an amazing land-and-sea cruise from Fairbanks to Vancouver. It proved so helpful for both of us to be able to draw upon those splendid memories in the months to come. From residents of Alaska, I learned that glaciers are both advancing and receding, depending on which one is in question. One in particular is advancing so significantly that it threatens to wipe out an entire fishing village. While we may differ in some our views, I have always respected you and, like you, feel blessed to have been a part of Arcadia's Glory Years. I pray that God will fill each of your days with the deepest joys of life, including the pursuit of him and the activities you love.
Uncle Bob is a prisoner in an adult care facility but is still in touch with hundreds of former students and is still telling stories. I've just finished writing another book
and will be glad to gift you a copy if you are interested. Just send me a message about how you are doing and an address to send it to. The Glory Years changed my life and kept me in the classroom.
